Shiro's Head - A DVX100
Feature Length Movie
Directed by Don Muna and Kel Muna
Starring Matt Ladmirault and Aleta Borja
A DVX100 production
triumph, Shiro's Head breathes new life into DIY filmmaking. From
non-actors to traveling over 6,400 miles to shoot on location, the
unique setting and framework of this independent movie takes DIY
films to new heights.
Iraq In Fragments - A DVX100 Movie Miracle
Directed by James Longley
...Longley goes
on to say that there were times where he would have to wrap the DVX
in duct tape to protect it from the elements and thought that the
camera would just give in to the extreme weather conditions and
fail. But he was surprised to say that the camera never did...
DVX100a Short Film - Broken
Directed by Alex Ferrari
Starring
Samantha Jane Polay and Paul Gordon
With
digital muzzle fire and explosions filling the screen and had me
analyzing the DVX100 movie production frame by frame for each
digital effect.
The
DVX100 Film Head Trauma
Directed by
Lance Weiler
Starring Vince Mola (the low-budget Paul Giamatti) and Julian
Thompson
This film
proves the effectiveness of do it yourself film distribution!
The locations were chosen so well that through the DVX100 lens,
they seemed to take on their own role in the film. I could just
feel the cold lull, obscurity and murkiness surrounding the main
characters.
Producing
November with the DVX100
Directed by
Greg Harrison
Starring Courtney Cox (Dirt, Ace Ventura, Friends) and
James Legros (Zodiac, Enemy of the State, Sleeper Cell).
Nancy
Schreiber (Director of Photography) has undoubtedly pushed the
Panasonic DVX 100 to the peak of its capabilities. Most of the
movie production either takes place indoors or are night shots.
In fact I believe all of the scenes are indoors or night shots.
Lonesome Jim on the DVX100
Directed by Steve
Buschemi (Armageddon, Reservoir Dogs, Desperado).
Starring Liv Tyler (Lord of the Rings) and Casey Affleck (Ocean's
11).
Lonesome Jim is yet another great digital film
production… or shall I say video production…shot on the
Panasonic DVX100A. And just for the
record, I only post and/or refer to movies shot on the DVX100 that
me or any of my fellow production team members have seen
personally. How would you like it if someone posted comments
about your digital movie production and didn’t even have the
decency to watch it?
Land
of Plenty Takes on the DVX 100
Directed by Wim Wenders
Starring Michelle
Williams (Brokeback Mountain, The Station Agent).
The
"little digital camera that could" does it again! Land of Plenty is an intelligent
digital feature film shot with the DVX100 about a young girl
(Lana)
played by Academy Award nominee and 2007 Independent Spirit Award
Nominee for Best Female Lead, Michelle Williams, in search for
her long lost uncle Paul played by John Diehl in hopes to mend
their family ties all which takes place shortly after the 9/11
attack on the United States.
